About Dr. Grachev
Sergey Grachev, M.D., FACS is a Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Grachev's professional membership also include the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Grachev's is a general surgeon in private practice in New Jersey. He is an attending general surgeon at Southern Ocean Medical Center, Community Medical Center, Kimball Medical Center and Centrastate Medical Center. Dr. Grachev received a medical degree from Crimea State Medical University in Simferopol, Ukraine. He completed residencies in general and cardiac surgeries in Ukraine and Kazakhstan and served as a cardiac surgeon in Kiev Institute of Cardiovascular Disease, a clinical fellow in cardiac surgery in Bombay, India and cardiothoracic surgery in London, England. Dr. Grachev was a visiting fellow and international scholar at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed a general surgery residency at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN, Metropolitan Group Hospitals in Chicago and was chief resident at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
Dr. Grachev is a renowned specialist in all aspects of general surgery, with special interest in, but not limited to: breast surgery, breast biopsy, colon/rectal surgery, laparoscopic minimally invasive surgery, ventral and inguinal hernia surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, surgical oncology, skin cancer, melanoma surgery, gallbladder and pancreatic surgery, laparoscopic appendectomy, hemorrhoid surgery and splenectomy.
He uses advanced surgical technique and new technologies and novel approaches to current problems in the field of traditional open general surgery and minimally invasive surgery.
He is also performing office based ultrasound procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease, hernias and soft tissue tumors. Procedures are also offered for breast disease like cyst aspiration and ultrasound guided breast biopsy.
